Lake Forest Animal Hospital staff of Gaithersburg, MD
At Lake Forest Animal Hospital, we have two highly experienced veterinary doctors. We also have three veterinary techs and a number of kennel and administrative staff.

Dr. Mark Liberto:
Dr. Liberto was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland. His formative grade school years were spent at St. Agnes in Baltimore. He attended Woodlawn Senior High School. He then graduated with honors from Catonsville Community College in 1979 and Magna Cum Laude Honors from Towson University in 1981. He received his DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) Degree from the Ohio State University in 1988. He received high honors during veterinary school, including being admitted to the Phi Zeta Honor Society and winning the coveted Anatomy Award. Dr. Liberto is passionate about his profession and continues to be an active part of his industry. He served in a public relations role for five years for the Montgomery County Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) and, due to the tremendous achievements, was chosen to serve as "President" for an additional five years. He also served as the President for the Frederick County Sheep Breeders Association.
His interests outside of veterinary medicine include sheep farming, target shooting, carpentry, competitive weight lifting and classic car restorations. He is happily married to his lovely wife, Angie, and has a large family: two sons, Nicholas and Christopher, two daughters, Danielle and Kellie, a Border Collie (R.C.), a Burmese Mountain Dog (Sadie), four cats (Boots, Oreo, Buttercup, and Spooky), a Senegal Parrot (Frida) and fifty five sheep.

Dr. Jenny Krueger:
Dr. Krueger grew up just around the corner from Lake Forest Animal Hospital in the neighborhood of Olney, Maryland. She received her Bachelors of Animal Science degree in 2004 from the University of Maryland, College Park. She received her DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree in 2008 from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She enjoys working with a wide variety of creatures from dogs, cats, and small mammals to exotics, small ruminants (sheep and goats), and cows. Her veterinary interests include, but are not limited to, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, gastrointestinal medicine, dermatology and opthalmology. Her hobbies include skiing, scuba diving, weight-lifting, cooking, and spending time with her menagerie of animal companions including her Great Dane "Jaden", her three cats "Ayla", "Iza", and "Durc", and her western hog-nosed snake "Wilbur". She may be a familiar face to many as she has worked as a technician at the hospital prior to and during her veterinary education and training. She rejoined Lake Forest Animal Hospital as the second full-time veterinarian and avidly looks forward to providing you and your pet with loving care and a commitment to excellence.
